Career
After nearly a decade working in a call center environment, my specialized position was phased out. I moved on to independent contracting, transcribing and captioning various media with a heavy focus on accessibility.

I listened to ...too much music this week. Welcome another wall.
I somehow missed an old friend releasing an album at the start of August. π’ β€ Botox - You Need... ['77 Punk Rock] [π¬π§] β open.spotify.com/album/1ei2Pi... β music.apple.com/us/album/you... β www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

I feel like the Atmosphere is to social media what Lemmy wanted to be for Reddit. Of all the Reddit alternatives attempted through the years, Lemmy was the closest to taking off. But it suffers from what I feel Mastodon always has - decentralized and fragmented to the point of obscurity.

β@skyrdle.com without giving away the puzzle number publicly, the answer was clearly "manga," which I tried before spamming "magna" (knowing the G was in the wrong place and the other letter was N). It would not accept it as a word. Unless I'm really missing something here.
Opinion nobody asked for: As a fan of Slipknot since the early days, seeing them live for the Iowa tour in a smaller venue, I feel they've been past their prime for a long while. Maybe my taste has changed a lot... but that new song ...woof. Especially that little tantrum-y bit in the middle. π€¨
βI love how certain cheeses from the EU are deemed unsafe and can't be imported by the US, but "mystery meat" that the EU outright won't accept is making its way into the country, soon to be mixed into the ground beef from a major supplier of fast food and grocery store chains. Super neato. π
βI miss being closer to venues where bands actively tour. I was spoiled living 20 min from the Norva and Boathouse as a teen. Closest place I can hit and turnaround in a night now is Greensboro. Raleigh, Charlotte, Richmond, and DC are doable, but require more logistics - hotel, time off, etc.
